Houda el Arabibi is the founder behind the Moroccan brand Milsouls. Originally from Tangier Morocco, Houda has always been a nomad at heart. After getting her bachelor’s degree she moved to Philadelphia, PA and went on to get her master’s in Financial Services and International Marketing. In 2017, she decided to embark on a new journey and launched the Milsouls brand, in order to create a business that would positively and ethically impact her community and introduce unique goods for the modern nomad.
The brand boasts a collection of colorful and stunning clothing, shoes, accessories and home decor all ethically handmade in Morocco. From breezy dresses to brightly colored robes, you can bring the travels of Morocco with you everywhere you go.
Their beautiful handmade raffia shoes are woven by local women artisans in the coastal city of Essaouira. Raffia is a natural fiber which comes from Madagascar. Each pair is entirely handmade and takes 1-2 days to produce. The shoes are then carefully shipped to the capital of Morocco in order to assemble the soles from high quality, genuine leather. The result is a stylish, natural and comfortable shoe.
